On September 11, Catalonia commemorates the 1714 Siege of Barcelona defeat that meant the loss of independence, the abolition of all Catalan institutions, constitutions, rights and freedoms, and the begining of a centuries-long period of persecution for the culture, traditions and language of its people.

Along with the institutional and popular activities prepared in every city and town of the country, Help Catalonia prepared a special edition full of exclusive articles by prominent Catalans; short, Twitter-like messages from most of our collaborators explaining what this day means in their lifes; and vídeos.
