This year's Salon du livre de Québec, which will be held between the 11th and 15th of April, will feature literature written in Catalan as guest of honor. Showcasing over 60 titles translated into French in the last 3 years, the Catalan delegation will arrive in Québec to strengthen ties and find new publishing contacts, according to the Institut Ramon Llull.
In recent years, there have already been exchanges between Québec and Catalonia: several Québecois publishers and festivals have featured Catalan authors, and Catalan has been taught at the University of Montréal since 2007, enjoying a lot of popularity.
All in all, there will be twenty events, panels, readings and publishers, important players in some of the most prominent Catalan literature, with lots of works translated into French.
