If Spain is under a crisis... why is it that the Government has just bought two helicopters valued at €24.5 million?

The Government of Spain approved last November the 30th the purchase of two SH60-F helicopters from the USA. The purchase added up to 24.51million. Responding to the astonishment of the observers, the government ruled by the Popular Party marked this purchase as a “need”, categorizing it as “essential”. The same day the Spanish Government agreed the freezing of the retirement pensions and continuing with the asphyxiating economic politics towards Catalonia, leaving unpaid the accorded amounts.

If that were not enough, the aforementioned helicopters are not operating at all yet, because they have to perform several modifications; so they have no seats for the soldiers.

Some voices don't understand where is the "essential need" to have these helicopters. They link them to the menaces thrown by some sectors of the Government and Spanish nationalist representatives against the sovereignism growing in Catalonia, but for now we only can sit and wait; we will find out what are those helicopters for.
