Association of Municipalities for Independence (AMI) elects a New Chair

The Association of Municipalities for Independence (AMI) is a network of local councils. This entity was born in December 14, 2011 in the city of Vic. Nowadays it has the support of 786 town councils out of the 948 total Catalan local councils. The AMI wants to internationalise the pro-independence process in Catalonia from the local sphere. It has therefore launched a campaign to explain the pro-independence process. On March 15th the association elected Josep Maria Cervera as a new chair of the demcoratic association. Cervera from the Democratic Catalan Party (PDeCat) substitutes the Mayoress of Vilanova, Neus Lloverasas, from the PDeCat too, a chairpeson. Lloveras is being prosecuted by the Spanish inquisition.
