A third Catalan pro independence list will try to present at the Spanish elections

The coalition is formed by three parties: Free People (Poble Lliure), We're Alternative (Som Alternativa) and the Pirate Party. The first one is part of the Coalition for Popular Unity which is represented at local and national level but has never presented itself at the Spanish state parliament. The second one split from the Spanish leftist party Podemos.

The coalition is called Republican Front (Front Republicà). They need 7,000 signatures to be able to presents lists at the April 28th Spanish elections. Their aim, if elected, is to block the Spanish parliament until the recognition of the Self-determination right. Nowadays both the social-democrat Catalonia's Republican Left and the centrist Catalan Democratic Party are represented in the Spanish parliament. The first will run after the refusing of a unitary pro independence list. The second one will run as Together for Catalonia (Junts per Catalunya).
