Political Prisoner Jordi Turull remembered in South Tyrol

At the memorial service by the 55 years of the killing of Luis Amplatz, murdered on behalf of Italy. Südtiroler Heimatbundes chairman, Roland Lang, remembered the Catalan political prisoners. In his greeting Lang spoke about Jordi Turull who would have been elected Regional President of the Catalan Parliament in March 2018 if the Spanish central government had not arrested him quickly the day before. Since this was not present in the debate on the election, he could not be appointed to Spanish, with laws that were still dating back to the Franco period. More than 300 people took part in the commemoration by Südtiroler Heimatbundes, Süd-Tiroler Freiheit, and Südtiroler Schützenbundes.
