The Council for the Republic opens a delegation in the French part of Catalonia

The Council for the Republic has opened a delegation in Perpignan to be able to "act" in Northern Catalonia. The president of this headquarters, the journalist Júlia Taurinyà, yesterday signed a collaboration protocol with Waterloo on Thursday with the Catalan Republican structure chaired by Catalan Exiled President Carles Puigdemont.

In statements to the media, Taurinyà assured that in Northern Catalonia they want to be "actors of the future Catalan Republic. "Solidarity with prisoners and exiles has risen and support from many areas is very strong," he said. The writer Joan Lluís Lluís, from Perpignan, will be the second chairman of the Council. Next November 21st the Council will open its offices in the Catalan city of Perpignan under French rule.
