Leftist Independentists tribute to the President Companys, shot by Spain, in his birthplace

 

Independentistes d'Esquerres (Leftist Independentists) made a floral offering yesterday at the monument to Lluís Companys in El Tarròs, a few days before the 80th anniversary of his "ignominious assassination" by "Franco's coup plotters", they explained. The event was attended by the president of the Independentistas d'Esquerres, Pep Andreu; the retaliated clown Jordi Pesarrodona; the deputy Eusebi Campdepadrós, and the historian Tomàs Callau.
