About 90,000 people attended a Catalan pro-independence festival in Barcelona yesterday evening. Held at FC Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium, seats were practically all sold out. The audience waved Catalonia's yellow and red striped flag with the separatist star, and made up a mosaic with the flag's colours and the rallying “2014 Freedom Catalonia.” At the four-hour 'Concert de la Llibertat' (Concert for Freedom) many Catalan artistes such as musicians Dyango, Peret, Lluís Llach and Maria del Mar Bonet performed, along with poets and actors.
