"Catalonia is an occupied country ... it looks like a colony"

Mrs Clara Ponsatí , former Minister now exiled in Scotland said today that the Catalonians "supported the Republic with the referendum" and they "ratified" it in the past elections of the 21 of December. In those elections 2,079,340 people voted for the Republic higher than 1,966,509 two years before.

She has considered that the start-up of the Republic is "stranded" and that it is "a job of all" to undo it. And to the question that if Catalonia wass autonomous. Ponsatí replied that "it is an occupied country, in a peculiar way and in the 21st century. From the point of view of who exercises the power and how he exercises it looks like a colony."

 
In spite of the high level of repression Ponsatí added: "We do not have to give in, we do not have to give up; Spain will already sink itsel".
