17,850 climbed yesterday to nineteen Catalonia's mountains peaks to denounce false charges, unjust pre trial imprisonment and forced exiled of many of our political and social leaders. The peaks were La Mola, Tossal del Rei, Gallina Pelada, Pedraforca, Comabona, Montgrí, El Tossal de les Torretes, Pica d'Estats, Canigó, les Agudes, Sant Jeroni, Montsent de Pallars, Puigsacalm, Roca Corbatera, Matagalls, Carlit, Puigmal, Sant Ramon and Montcaro. Every peak was choosen by an exiled or jailed Catalan.
Not only in Catalonia. Apart from the ninetten Catalan peaks, others where climbed too. Le Tombeau du Géant in Belgium, with the exiled Catalan Minister Lluís Puig, Arthur Seat in Scotland, Mont Royal in Mont-real, Quebec, Bola del Mundo in Sierra de Guadarrama, Madrid, Cura and Puig de Randa in Majorca, Brocken top in Germany. Due to the status orange weather warning issued by Met Éireann for the Storm Callum, the Solidarity Walk was rescheduled by the Solidarity Walk for this Sunday.
The walkers freed birds as falcons and eagles in the top ofe the moutains waving Catalan independence flags and dennounced the criminal Spanish repression towards singers, politicians, grassroots activists and ordinary people. Thousands are being sent to courts, fined, banned to leave their cities (literally confined), jailed, and censored. Spain is nowadays an authoritarian state based on medieval times.
