A group of Spanish supremacists assault Torelló's City Council

The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalonia's autonomus police) identified last weekend twelve people who were causing disturbances in Taradell. The group would have been dedicated to withdrawing the yellow bows that were in the streets of the town and later they went to the town hall. They took the banners on the balcony claiming for the freedom of political prisoners and that of "We're Republic". They also tried to remove the starry Catalan flag, but they did not leave although they were left very damaged, and the light yellow bow, which was damaged too. All in all, as they hit the windows of the entrance to the town hall and also the car of the city watchmen. The guardian at the time had to take refuge in the interior of the building and could notify the Mossos. Up to eight police vehicles moved to the site and were able to identify alleged suspects.

The identity and its neighborhood have not transcended, but it seems that the group would have come from the Barcelona area, and were ultras. They were commissioned several objects such as poles, screwdrivers and cutters, which supposedly used to start the yellow bows and banners. The Mossos have not received any complaints until now, but the surveillance cameras installed in the city council could have recorded all the incidents. A group of Taradellian volunteers cleared the mural on the 1-O midday at noon and later flags were replaced. Far right party Ciudadanos has called to Spanish supremacists to remove Catalan symbols and specially those in solidarity with the jailed Catalan government and grassroots activists by all means. This includes violence.
