Several musicians as well as grassroots activists or labou union members are jailed or fined by the Spanish Inquisitional courts. Santa Perpètua de Mogoda is the locality where Jordi Cuixart, jailed cultural activist, was born. He is the chairman of the Òmnium Cultural organization, also persecuted by Franco, who organized the festival.
