National Call (Crida Nacional) opens the internal currents in an act with 700 people in Sants

 

The National Call for the Republic, the political platform promoted by the Presidents Quim Torra and Carles Puigdemont and the Deputy of JxCat (Together for Catalonia) Jordi Sànchez, took a step further yesterday in his internal organization. In an act with about 700 people at the Cotxeres de Sants, the internal ideological currents :
- Social Democrats,
- Liberals
- Left

were inaugurated in order to configure, on November 29, the council of representatives of the entity, a national council of a political party. The general secretary of the Crida, Toni Morral, assured  "We have to be well organized to be able to present ourselves at the electoral level. Now there are a few days left for these elections. When the Call is presented, it will be to win, and it is not yet the moment. To win we have to be stronger," said Morral, who insisted that the Crida is a "transversal" entity and that he does not want to be "partisan" but rather to seek "unity." From the domes of the organizations it is very difficult to draw up the unit. We do not have any backpack of any political party. We started with the capital of the leaders who promoted the manifesto [Puigdemont, Torra andSànchez]", explained Morral, who asserted that its objective is to make effective the "political mandate" of October 1. For Morral, Spain is in a "deep crisis" and "is not as strong as it seems." "In four years, four elections. It has a deep institutional and democratic crisis," he insisted.

Carles Puigdemont, from Waterloo, encouraged the creation of these internal ideological currents of the Crida to be able to forge a "transversal" entity. "We have to move away from dogmatic positions, we have to deploy territorially [...]. It's a good time to do it," he said.

The member of the government of La Crida - the director - Josep Ferrer was in charge of explaining the internal operation of the organization. The entity is made up of sectoral, territorial and ideological trends (the partners can be targeted at three things at the same time) that from the month of November will form the so-called 'representative council', which is in charge of tutelage the policy that makes the direction of the Call. The first meeting of the council, with some 203 members, will be held on November 29, one year and one month after the first constituent act of the Call on October 27 in Manresa.
