Thousands rally for the Officiality of the Asturian language

Thousands of people rallied on May 4th for the Asturian language. This is not an official language in Spain in spite of the will of the majority of the Asturian people. Iniciativa pol Asturianu and  the Xunta Pola Defense of the Asturian Llingua also demonstrated on April 21st in a huge demonstration with 30,000 people.  

The Spanish nationalist parties want to impose only Spanish. The language is banned in the Asturian parliament and  leader of the PP (Spanish ruling party) in Asturias, have boasted the decision saying "We've boasted that Spanish is the only language of the parliament of Asturias."
