Spain lost when tried to extradite the Catalan President in Belgium. It lost again when illegally pursued him in Schleswig-Holstein. The third round has been the attempt to ban the Catalan President to be candidate in the European election. The Spanish Electoral Board formed by "hooligans" (named by Spanish parties), in words of Puigdemont lawyer Gonzalo Boye, decided to ban him as well as former health and education Ministers, Toni Comín and Clara Ponsatí, to lead the Together for Catalonia (Junts per Catalunya, JxCat) candidature on May 26th.
Following the veto by the electoral authority over his bid, Puigdemont's candidacy, Junts per Catalunya, challenged the decision before a local Madrid court. In a typical Spanish bodevil the judges decided on Saturday morning to transfer the issue to Spain's Supreme Court. On Sunday this court returned the issue to the first court but saying that the Catalan former president, Carles Puigdemont and other two exiled former government members are "eligible" for elections. 3-0. The show must go on.
